There are multiple threads noting this issue, including one that says a fix was pending for the tray icon disappearing (System tray icon vanished)
As of today, I think we've spent a collective 4-5 hours wasted time total reinstalling Kabuto or trying to get the icons to show up again on multiple users machines. All of our clients have gotten used to having the submission form available, and the desktop icon is not there for them to use it.
I realize the traybar icon disappearing may be a different issue, but that is also present on many of our subscriber's system, which means we can't use the context menu in Kabuto to easily get a remote session started with them, which also eats up more of our time.
The frustration that I recently had on one client's system involved reinstalling Kabuto fully last week, got both icons showing up again, and yesterday, they were both gone.
Kabuto processes are still running and client getting alerts (as well as us), but no way to use the app to contact us. I really love the tool and we've gotten great feedback on it, but when we spend more time troubleshooting our own RMM software than fixing actual problems on the client's system, we lose customers and it looks bad.
Any ideas thus far on how to prevent either icon from disappearing from client machines?
