Hey all - I think there's a mindset thing here that is maybe the issue. The Kabuto Base Plan (the $119/year) is basically an investment in marketing and leads, rather than a software tool. Let's say you charge on average $75 for a job. If you get 2 jobs from installing Kabuto on computers after you service them, you've already made a profit. So from that perspective, the base plan easily pays for itself if you just install it on every computer that comes into your shop without any paid Upgrades (Managed AV or Monitoring). If you can sell Upgrades on top, you make even more profit every time.
We are continuing to add more features to Kabuto all the time, and currently have no plans to change our pricing model as we do that. So I'd say that if we made a lower pricing tier, while adding more features, that would be a bad move on our part
I think that $119 / year (effectively $10/month) is well worth it given the existing feature set, and based on customer feedback, pretty inexpensive for the return you get.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Ian
