First time posting. I've been offering Kabuto to my customers for about a month now. I love the concept and so does my customers, but I too have had quite a bit of issues with getting devices to sync up the first time or getting it to install and activate Emsisoft after it has left the shop. I've decided the best way for me to ensure that I don't start off their managed plan with issues is to make sure it is all done before it leaves the shop. This can be frustrating because what if a customer comes in to pick up their computer and I sell them managed services, I don't feel secure enough to let the computer leave until I know that Kabuto and Emsisoft are properly installed and syncing properly. So I have to put them to wait or come back.
Just like the day before yesterday, I sold a computer (new) to one of my customers. As she was leaving I convinced her to protect it with my service plan. She was in a hurry, so I thought I would let it sync up and install after she got it home. For the past 2 days I've been trying to get it to sync up and install Emsisoft. But no luck. Going to remote in today and see what the problem is. I'll collect the logs then. But its been very frustrating.
What would be lovely is the ability to just install it all at once from an install file. Rather than waiting on Emsisoft to download and install by force sync. Is this possible and I'm missing something? Hoping these issues are resolved. I'm making money off of Kabuto, but my reputation and confidence my customers have in me is of utmost importance. I also have to have confidence in the product I'm selling. I haven't had any problems once I get past the first sync and install of Emsisoft. But I've had issues syncing and installing on about 5 of the 30 or devices I've signed up which end up being time consuming for me.. Real time sync sounds like a lovely idea.
Hoping I can contribute with ideas because I'm having no problem selling the service and I want to keep making money from it and see it improve!
