If Mr New Customer selects a package from the available options, pays by CC, downloads and installs the agent etc, does he still require me to actually activate the package from my Kabuto Dashboard or is it automagically activated based on the packages policies he purchased?
It will automatically get the policy attached to the package, no work for you =)
Will installing the agent through Repairshopr still work the same as it does now, with respect to the the new customer notification in Kabuto?
yes everything should be the same, the only difference is it will pull the RS customer info into Kabuto and map them together.
If Mr New Customer already has an AV already installed, that would require him to either uninstall it first or rely on me to ask if he has one already or if he has uninstalled it. (Apart from the Dashboard notification in Kabuto there is no other way for me to know) If the question is not raised then he could end up with 2 (or more) AV's installed. Some way of removing their previous AV via Kabuto would definitely be a big plus!
This is currently not covered, I'll put it into my list to look into it.
Also, at present Kabuto only refreshes every 6 hours, so if someone signs up for a package and installs the agent themselves will they be notified to restart the computer to force a sync?
it will sync as soon as the agent is installed, i'm not sure why you would need to force a sync, can you elaborate more on this scenario?
Thanks!
