Hey - so I just want to clear this up, it seems there's some confusion. Forgive me if some of this is review, I just think it's necessary to explain the situation:
TechSuite includes:
TechSuite Windows App (formerly called TechWARU)
TechSuite Bootable Utility (formerly called TechUSB)
TechSuite Online Dashboard (formerly called TechPortal)
OK, so in order to create a TechSuite Bootable Utility, you use the Creator, which lets you turn any USB drive into a Bootable Utility. One of the features of the Creator, is that it can download the Windows App as well onto the USB drive for you. This is just a convenience, as you can easily download the Windows App from the Downloads page on the Online Dashboard.
Last week, we upgraded from TechWARU to the Windows App. The new TechSuite Windows App is a completely different application, and should be used instead of TechWARU now. It's far superior in every way. We shut off access to the old TechWARU on Tuesday, which is why you're seeing authentication prompts when you try to run it (it's not letting you in, because that version is deprecated).
The issue you're encountering is that we forgot to update the Creator, so it was still downloading the old TechWARU, rather than the new TechSuite Windows App. So we updated the Creator. In order to get a working version of the Windows App you have two choices:
- Download it from the Downloads page
or
- Get the new Creator from the Downloads page, and re-create your USB drive.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Ian
