Hey guys - Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. I'll respond to some of them, and others we'll take a discuss with the team.
My least favorite would be TechUSB's use of shudder ClamAV. I know that there aren't many AV applications to choose from that run in a Linux environment, but Clam... Clam is just bad.
Agreed. I'll revisit our options and see what we can do about it.
It would be nice if we could customize the names of the tool used or just have a category that says Malware removal and all the log info there. I don't like the client knowing the names of the tools used so much as I have had some look at that, then try it themselves next time and ruin the pc.
Some of this functionality already exists. Check out the "Customize Report Layout" button on TechPortal on the Reports Page.
My least favorite would have to be the stability of the techwaru software. Perhaps I am the only one but I find techwaru crashes more than I would like it too, a simple skip button would solve a good majority of these hangups though.
Yeah, we'll find a way to add a Skip button into 1.5.1
Would be cool to see other bootable tools added the to the tech usb environment. Not sure if it would be possible even, but maybe at the screen where you select the different boot options we could have the option to load something like Avast's or bitdefender's bootable and boottime scanners, instead of the Linux environment.
This is possible. I'll write up a guide and post it here today.
Thanks guys,
Ian
