Can anyone explain please why the taskbar icon disappears after clients always left click even after being told not to!.
The damned icon disappears and doesn't come back till the computer is rebooted.
Is there any way to improve this nightmare?
if they left click on the icon, that would bring up the service request window. When that is up, the icon disappears. They should just close it and it will come back on the tray again.
Yes, and in some cases it does. But unfortunately in many many more it does not. I have had this happen on at least 50 different clients. The only way to get the icon back is to restart the machine.(or go on a frustrating journey with the client into the bowels of Windows to get it back again!)
oh that;s annoying. I haven't seen that before.
The only time I see the icon not re-appear is when the service request window is still loading in the taskbar's main running programs area (not the notification icon area).
I've seen that behaviour as well, but this is different in as much as the icon does not come back after the client inadvertently - oh hell -stupidly left clicks when specifically told to right click!Even after the service request window is closed the icon will not reappear until reboot.
I've seen this as well. As well as the taskbard icon dupblicating then going away.
The icons will double up momentarily if you use the desktop shortcut until you close the request window.
