Hello @MaggieElizabeth. I reviewed the guide you linked to and it seemed effective, however I would suggest you also try using TechSuite. TechSuite has the tools to do the cleaning, and it is automated. If you do not wish to try TechSuite, then I recommend the procedure over at BleepingComputer.
