Aloha and Mahalo (thank you) for the updated / new TechSuite 1.0. Just ran it on my machine and noticed few things. I'm assuming you will want to look at the report that was generated, so send me a PM and I'll reply with the url for the report
1) When starting up TechSuite I get a popup window recommending that I disable Windows Defender. A couple of issues here....
a) There is no title bar on this popup, so the first time I ran TS, I had no idea what program (or possible malware) was issuing this message ( link to png of popup )
b) I'm using ESET Smart Security Suite, not Windows Defender, so I'm curious why TechSuite says Windows Defender needs to be deactivated. The install of ESET SSS has already done this.
2) The OS is listed as Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 bit. Need to include the version (and maybe the build) number for Windows 10.(as seen in the output from a winver.exe command)
3) I ran Test HDD for Issues and got the following output:
Testing Results for ()
FAILED Overall Health Status Check. Drive is Bad.
a) Note that there is no drive name indicated - I never gave this drive a label. Perhaps you could use the drive letter when the drive label is blank, or just include the drive letter all the time.
b) This drive is actually a RAID 10 array ( 4 x 2 TB drives). I'm assuming that the Test HDD for Issues is not set up to handle this configuration. Is there any way to detect a RAID array and issue a info message saying that this cannot be tested?
4) Check for App Crashes lists the crashes in alphabetical order based on the process file name. It would be more useful to me if the sort order was on day & time of crash, most recent at the top. And I can see where it might be useful to sort both by process name and date & time. Is it possible to export the output to a .csv or .xls format so we can sort as we like?
5) Lastly, I do not see the version of TechSuite used to generate the report. You might find that useful in the future in your own debugging efforts.
Mahalo,
Harry Z.
